According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, lilies are considered highly toxic to cats. While the poisonous component has not yet been identified, it is clear that small amounts of the plant, when ingested, can result in severe kidney damage. We recommend keeping lilies out of the reach of cats. It is important to note that lilies do not pose a problem for other pets or humans.

good to know.
i love keeping lilies around the house, they’re gorgeous and have such a beautiful fragrance.
i do keep them out of the reach of my cat, but it’s also worthy to note that some are considered toxic to other pets, such as rabbits.
i’m not sure if that is all varieties of lilies, or just those mentioned.
